Frank Zappa was my first "underground" indoctrination when I was about 13..Hard to imagine back then a 13 y/o listening to him. Sure wasn't on the radio..anyway I read an interview with him and he was questioned as to what bands he listened to and found of interest. He mentioned two English bands..a band called Traffic and a band called Jethro Tull and two U.S Bands, Spirit and the Grateful Dead. I had never heard of any of these...As soon as I could find them I bought the first albums of all four, and I was on my way.
